Upon arriving at the Barracks Franc Rozman Stane, in Ljubljana, the Governor General, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Danilo Türk, the President of Slovenia, received military honours.

The Governor General delivered an address to the Brigade and met with Slovenian soldiers who served alongside members of the Canadian Forces in the International Security Assistance Force in Kabul, Afghanistan.
