Arms of Vincent Lloyd Reynolds

Blazon

Per pale Argent and Gules a portcullis and in chief between two lions' heads erased respectant a naval coronet, all within a bordure counterchanged;

Symbolism

The design of the shield was chosen by Mr. Reynolds’ father, the late Major Trevor C. Reynolds, C.D. Red and white are the colours of Canada, the portcullis represents Major Reynolds’ hometown of North Bay, Ontario (the “Gateway City”); the two lions’ heads indicate his two sons; and the naval coronet symbolizes the naval service of him, his wife, and both his sons. The border is used to make the design unique to Vincent Reynolds, as the unchanged arms were inherited by his older brother Clive Reynolds.
