Arms of The City of Trail

Blazon

Argent two smokestacks set on a wall Gules masoned Sable issuant from a base wavy Argent charged with a bar wavy, a chief dancetty Gules;

Symbolism

The wall and smokestacks represent the smelting and refining industry in the city. The wavy base refers to the geographical setting by the Columbia River.

Crest

Blazon

A stag's head erased Gules attired Sable gorged with a collar of dogwood flowers alternating with maple leaves Argent;

Symbolism

The stag represents an animal found in the area. The collar combines the floral symbols of Canada and British Columbia.

Motto

HOME OF CHAMPIONS;

Symbolism

This captures the essence of the community championships.

Supporters

Blazon

On a grassy mound Vert two bears Sable each holding a hockey stick Argent taped Sable;

Symbolism

The two bears represent animals found in the area. The hockey sticks represent the two World Hockey Championships won by Trail teams and the many other hockey championships won by community teams.
