James Igloliorte is dedicated to promoting Inuit culture as the first Inuk provincial court judge in Newfoundland and Labrador. He served as a truth commissioner and advisor to the National Inquiry on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, and was part of the legal team that was instrumental in establishing Nunatsiavut. A revered mentor, he has helped Inuit lawyers and legal scholars to forge their own unique legal careers.

For more than 30 years, Kevin Blackmore, Wayne Chaulk and Ray Johnson have been central to Newfoundland and Labrador's identity. Performing together as Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers, they have travelled to more than 360 cities and towns across Canada, forging a nationwide audience and sharing their province’s unique culture through humour, song and music. As the creative force behind the unofficial provincial anthem, “Saltwater Joys,” and numerous other songs and side-splitting comedy numbers, they have brought tears of joy, love and laughter to countless Canadians.
Conor Gerard Maguire, C.M.

Conor Maguire is a radiology and nuclear medicine specialist. The first person with a high-level spinal cord injury to complete medical school in Canada, he has become a long-time and inspirational leader in both clinical and academic settings. He established the nationally renowned dual certification residency program at the University of Alberta, and his impactful mentorship has laid the foundation for future experts in the field. He also introduced positron emission tomography imaging at the University of Alberta Hospital and in St. John’s, significantly enhancing patient care and helping to improve health outcomes.

Robert John Shea, M.S.M. (deceased)

Robert Shea is an exemplary leader at the helm of the Canadian Education and Research Institute for Counselling, which supports practical and academic career-related research. His dedicated efforts have helped increase the economic and social well-being of Canadians by promoting career development as a priority for the public good.
The Meritorious Service Medal awarded to the late Dr. Robert Shea will be presented to his spouse, Dr. Rhonda Joy.

For more than 40 years, Barry Furlong has dedicated his time to helping seniors and youth in Newfoundland and Labrador. With a background in finance, management and administration, he has assisted the Navy League of Canada and the Royal Canadian Legion with planning, events and fundraising efforts to support their ongoing program
