Visit at the Citadelle of Québec - Day 2

A presentation of credentials from five new heads of mission took place on the morning of September 21, 2012, at the Citadelle of Québec. On this occasion, the Governor General first received the credentials of His Excellency Carlos Gómez-Múgica Sanz, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain.

The Governor General received the credentials of His Excellency Jorge Hernán Miranda Corona, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama.

The Governor General received the credentials of Her Excellency Mona Elisabeth Brøther, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway.

The Governor General received the credentials of His Excellency Ahmed Ould Teguedi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

The Governor General received the credentials of His Excellency Girma Birru Geda, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Founded in 1961, the Association des scouts du Canada counts more than 17 000 French-speaking youths and adults as members. Its mission is to promote and support the integral development of young Franco-Canadians so they can reach their full potential as individuals, as members of their community and as citizens who play an active role in society.

In the afternoon, His Excellency, as chief scout of the Association des scouts du Canada, honoured 38 of its members for excellence in Franco-Canadian scouting.
