Governor General to invest 73 members of the Canadian Armed Forces into the Order of Military Merit

OTTAWA, Ontario—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will invest 5 Commanders (C.M.M.), 11 Officers (O.M.M.) and 57 Members (M.M.M.) into the Order of Military Merit at an investiture ceremony at Rideau Hall.

Created in 1972, the Order of Military Merit recognizes distinctive merit and exceptional service displayed by the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces, both Regular and Reserve. Many have demonstrated dedication and devotion beyond the call of duty, and the Order honours them for their commitment to Canada.
