Ina V. Trolove, Burk's Falls, Ontario
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Ina Trolove co-founded the local Canadian Red Cross Society in 1939 and for 63 years has served the Society as a nurse, fund-raiser and president. She served the Children's Aid Society for many years, supported the local hospital and helped establish the Friends of the Almaguin Health Centre. For over 50 years, she has participated in local and provincial agricultural societies. Mrs. Trolove has been an active member of her church since 1949, establishing youth activities, raising funds, assisting with landscaping and serving as rector's warden. For over six decades, Mrs. Trolove has given her time and energy to many worthy causes and individuals. She is a model of benevolence and has inspired many people to serve their community.
