Ishita Aggarwal volunteers her time to promoting gender equality, most recently as a research associate with the International Women's Rights Project. While studying at the University of Toronto, she was one of the founding members of Women in Science and Engineering, where she encouraged greater female participation in male-dominated fields of study.
