For the past 35 years, Monte Anderson-also known as "Mr. Music"-has contributed to the cultural life of the community as a choir director and piano teacher, and has collaborated on many recitals and student music workshops. He has participated in initiatives that benefit music education, notably the Creston Valley Music Teachers' Association, the Creston Festival of the Arts, and Focus on Youth.
