Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

For over 30 years, Evelyn Walsh has devoted her time to her community and church. She has actively canvassed for donations on behalf of several local charitable organizations, including the March of Dimes, the Bridgewater Catholic League and the Arthritis Society. Within her church community, she has served as president and executive member of the Catholic Women's League, and participated in a Canadian Mental Health Association playschool program called "Head Start" for children with special needs. A deeply caring individual, she has greatly enriched the lives of others through her many endeavours.
