Roberta Friars arrived in Little Fort a decade ago and has been helping anyone in need ever since. She has been involved in everything from the local volunteer fire department, to the Recreation Commission, to the Lions Club. She assists at the local school, organizes "work bees" to cut wood for seniors, drives people who are ill or disabled to appointments, opens her home to people in need, and cares for abandoned or injured animals.
