Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Irene Tillett has spent her life caring for others. She always made herself available to support and care for her parents, her eleven siblings and their spouses. She delivered Meals on Wheels for several years. She offers to drive many seniors to appointments and spends countless hours visiting friends and relatives in hospitals and nursing homes. Mrs. Tillett also donates produce from her vegetable garden to Bethel Nursing Home's Fall Tea to help with their fundraising.
