Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Roger Matteau has conducted the parish choir, the Choeur Manereuil de Louiseville, on a voluntary basis for over thirty years. For many years he has been a member of the pastoral council and the liturgy committee, and has assisted at masses. He was honorary president of the Christmas Cheer program for two years. Always available to help families in need, for a number of years he has sheltered, fed and clothed people experiencing difficult times.
