Janice Trowsdale
Bideford, Prince Edward Island
Janice Trowsdale has selflessly given countless hours to her community. She is known as a canvasser for local charities, as well as a volunteer with her church, the local oyster festival, the community choir, and the Atlantic Missionary Society. She also worked to save the Bideford home, where Lucy Maud Montgomery lived in 1894. The building was renamed the Bideford Parsonage Museum, thanks largely to her work. She continues to serve with the West County Historical Society that owns and operates the museum.
