Joseph Vidito

Joseph Vidito was a founding member and is the current president of the Fire Department Information Conference-Atlantic, which provides education and training on changes to firefighting technologies, hazardous materials response, and water and ice rescue. Through this conference, firefighters in Atlantic Canada now have access to education that was once only available through expensive travel to the United States or central Canada. Himself a retired firefighter, he is active in his community of Big Tancook Island in many other ways, and continues to help with its fire and first response team.
