Kevin Freedman has been a volunteer for over 20 years, often working with young people. As a teenager, he taught free swimming lessons to inner-city youth; later on, he was a distress counsellor for teens. His gift for public speaking and engaging audiences has influenced youth groups to take local action on global concerns, from high school students learning about blood types to young people involved with the Manitoba Environmental Youth Network.
