Glenn Weir has always been interested in people and his community. In spite of his busy work schedule in earlier years, he spent time visiting friends in hospital, nursing homes and seniors' residences. Since his retirement, he has become involved with many community organizations. A member of the Rotary Club, he has worked countless bingos, assisted in a Habitat for Humanity project, welcomed exchange students and continues to visit the sick and elderly. Mr. Weir is a successful fundraiser for various groups such as the Lloydminster Interval Home and the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Lloydminster. For the past five years, along with serving hot meals, he spreads cheer to the clients and volunteers of the local Meals on Wheels program.
