Germaine Théberge-Bernard has, for several years, served as a volunteer to her fellow citizens of Mancebourg and surrounding area. In 1990, she became founding president of a committee to improve the state of the local cemetery, overseeing all aspects of this project, including fund-raising, purchasing equipment and supervising workers. Mrs. Théberge-Bernard has also undertaken other major community projects, such as the exterior renovation of the village church in 1995.
