Madeleine Adams has demonstrated an unselfish devotion to community and church. An Elder in her church, she has been involved over the years in fund-raising, Sunday-School teaching, pastoral care and the United Church Women. For fifteen years, she cared for Inuit students in her home, doing her best to make them comfortable in an unfamiliar environment. She has also prepared and delivered meals for seniors in need, served as a volunteer driver, canvasser and knitter for a variety of societies, been active in a local seniors club, and visited people in nursing homes and hospitals.
