Ralph Thomas has been inspiring people in his community to get active since 1981, notably as the founder of the Golden Glove Amateur Boxing Association and as an ambassador of the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame. He also helped found the New Brunswick Black History Society, and served as president of Pride and Race, Unity and Dignity through Education.
