Over the past 22 years, Sharon Faye Thorne has been volunteering with the Royal Canadian Legion, where she helps organize veterans’ luncheons for funerals and Remembrance Day, and visits with ill members to help them break out of their solitude. She was also a member of the Salvation Army board of directors.
