For 25 years, Elaine Thompson volunteered with the Orillia Channel Cats swim club, where she coached swimmers of various levels, coordinated meets for local competitors and organized the end-of-year banquet. She also assisted with the financial management of the Orillia Scottish Festival, and was previously involved with the Orillia Figure Skating Club’s annual carnival.
