Violet Winegarden
Gibsons, British Columbia

For over 40 years, Violet Winegarden has devoted her life to the service of the community by being involved with numerous organizations. She is one of the founding members of the Elphinstone Pioneer Museum and has made a great contribution to the Sunshine Coast Family History. She founded Happy Cat Haven, a non-profit cat rescue shelter in Gibsons. She has helped thousands of abandoned animals to find new homes and has educated residents on how to better care for and nurture their pets.
