Michelle Xie has been taking a hands-on approach to creating change in her community since a young age. She raises awareness of HIV/AIDS through A Loving Spoonful; organizes community-wide collections of hygiene kits and clothing for Covenant House; and plans fundraisers for RainCity Housing, in support of at-risk LGBTQ+ youth. She is also a volunteer with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind as well as an executive member of the Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre’s senior youth council.
