A captain of industry for many years, Stanley Milner has contributed greatly to our non-renewable resource sector. From his base in Edmonton, he developed his oil and gas companies, Chieftain International and Alberta Energy Company into international leaders. The economic spinoff from their success is evident, creating full-time employment for many and earning him a place in the Canadian Petroleum Hall of Fame. Resolute in his public service, he has lent his many skills to benefit organizations such as the University of Alberta and the World Wildlife Fund.
