Jeffrey Lozon has demonstrated a profound commitment to improving the quality of health care for Canadians and especially Ontarians. As president and chief executive officer of St. Michael's Hospital, he brought vision and leadership, guiding the hospital through a major financial turnaround and merger. He helped establish Canada's first inner-city health program, as well as the Centre for Global Health Research. As one of Canada's most influential health care administrators, he served as deputy minister of Health and Long-Term Care for the Province of Ontario, as vice-chair of Canada Health Infoway and was the inaugural chair of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer
