A research scientist and a physician, he is considered a leader in the development of clinical trials on AIDS. He was a key player in the establishment of the HIV treatment unit at the Montreal General Hospital which is considered one of the best in Canada. Also involved with the World Hemophilia Federation, he has been the guest speaker at many international symposia and is the author of more than three hundred publications.
