Chancellor Emeritus of the University of Western Ontario, this psychologist has had a long and distinguished career, which has made an extraordinary impact on mental health, related research and post-secondary education. She was a valued member of Ontario's Premier's Council on Health Strategy, as well as an astute chair of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, who enhanced its national reputation, and developed its international presence. Her advocacy of national service networks for vulnerable members of our society continues unabated, as does her contribution to the arts and cultural organizations.
