He is recognized around the world as an authority on meteoritic collisions and their effect on the Earth and Moon. Using a unique multi-disciplinary approach, this former research scientist with the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources Canada has uncovered many of the mysteries surrounding meteorites and asteroids. He was selected by the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) as Principal Investigator of several lunar sample studies. A generous supporter of the Canadian scientific community, he has served with distinction as Executive Director of the Royal Society of Canada and is a co-founder of the Partnership Group for Science and Engineering.
