He is one of Canada's best known conductors of choral music. Under his direction since 1971, the Vancouver Chamber Choir has achieved world recognition and won numerous awards. A champion of Canadian composers, he regularly commissions and premieres their work. Dedicated to elevating our national standards of musicianship, he has trained and inspired young conductors, composers and choral singers from across the country, many of whom now enjoy international renown. His passion and vision for the choral art form have had a lasting influence on musical life in Canada.
