Throughout his five-decade career as a journalist, he earned the respect of his peers and the trust of the Canadian public. Best known for his role as anchor of Global Television News, he has demonstrated in his more recent work his strong commitment to the environment and his love of Canada's history. As host and managing editor of the Discovery Channel's award-winning series Great Canadian Parks, he highlighted some of our most spectacular landscapes. He also oversaw a series of documentaries for the History Channel featuring national historic sites.
