She overcame many hardships early in life, was able to pursue her profession as a dentist in Canada and has been looking after the dental health of Sarnia area residents ever since. Realizing the great need for geriatric dentistry, on retirement this remarkable woman began offering dental service to institutionalized seniors and home-bound individuals at no cost. She raises funds for dental supplies through garage and bake sales and has had a foundation established in her name to ensure continuity of these voluntary services.
