He is highly respected as a businessman and philanthropist whose fund-raising talents have ensured the success of several community campaigns. He has used his financial acumen acquired during a long career in the securities industry, to support many health care and educational institutions, particularly the University of Western Ontario and its School of Business Administration. Equally at home on the farm and in the boardroom, he has given outstanding service to the executive of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto, including a term as President.
