Linda Haynes has used her talents as a businesswoman to support charities in Canada and abroad. She is the co-founder of ACE Bakery Limited, a successful enterprise known for donating a percentage of its food products and profits to charitable organizations, as well as for funding culinary scholarships and organic farming initiatives. As co-founder of Calmeadow and the Haynes-Connell Foundation, she has been involved nationally and internationally in sponsoring initiatives that champion freedom of speech, promote intercultural understanding and provide financial services to low-income self-employed people in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa. Her generosity to the less fortunate is a model for all Canadians.
