She is the guiding spirit of the Mira Foundation, the first school for seeing-eye dogs in Canada. Organizer of the Foundation's first fund-raising campaign in 1982, former chairperson of the board of directors and current regional director for eastern Quebec, she has been a tireless promoter of the Foundation's work and the well-being of people with visual disabilities.
