A founding member of the Fédération culturelle canadienne-française, she has spent almost forty years promoting the cause of Francophone minorities. She has been a force for innovation in the development of the Francophone communities in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Since 1992, she has represented the latter on the Conseil de la vie française en Amérique.
