Michael Massey is one of Alberta’s most influential artists. A conductor, composer and collaborative pianist with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, he has helped cultivate the careers of some of our country’s most renowned artists. He is also the beloved conductor of the Edmonton Youth Orchestra, through which he has mentored thousands of young musicians for more than 46 years and instilled in his students a lifelong love of and appreciation for music. His dedication to music education has left an indelible mark on Canadian culture.
