A retired Toronto social worker, she has been active in community endeavours and in a wide variety of service organizations for over sixty years. As the current President of an umbrella organization for all seniors groups in Canada, "One Voice", she consults with the federal government on all issues affecting seniors, including affordable housing, elder abuse, nutrition, illiteracy and safety in the home and on the street.
