Father Kelly was for many years Chairman of the philosophy faculty at St. Michael's College, University of Toronto. As President of the college in a critical period, he carried out its expansion and reorganization. Besides serving over the years on a host of University committees, and those of the Toronto School of Theology, he has worked for the abolition of the death penalty and for better treatment of offenders.
