Rabbi Emeritus of the Adath Israel Congregation, he has devoted many years to improving dialogue between the Christian and Jewish faiths, promoting harmony at home and abroad. An active member of the community, he is admired by his contemporaries for his leadership, generosity, commitment to multiculturalism and positive interfaith relations. He has travelled extensively throughout Germany as an invited lecturer. A Holocaust survivor, he is the author of World Through My Window and The Very Narrow Bridge, which emphasize the significance of tolerance, values and ethics in our daily lives.
