Notary and businessman, Louis Lagassé is a model of leadership and philanthropy. He has been the catalyst for many businesses in the Eastern Townships. He is also known for his dedication to and support for a variety of institutions, such as the Orchestre symphonique de Sherbrooke, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal and the Chambre de commerce du Québec. He also supports young talent in his region. In addition to creating the Fondation J.A. Louis Lagassé, which supports arts and culture, he promotes education, partly through scholarships he funds at Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, Bishop's University and the University of Western Ontario.
