Passionate about preserving the forests of the world, he is at the vanguard of Canada's ecoforestry practices. For more than 60 years, he has demonstrated the viability of an alternative to clearcutting. At Wildwood, his 70-acre parcel of forest on Vancouver Island, he offers a balance between logging and ecological protection. An environmental educator, each year he hosts thousands of visitors, making his land a teaching centre for ecoforestry principles. Highly respected as a guest lecturer and advisor, he inspires others to follow the living example that is Wildwood.
