A former journalist, publisher and Chief of Staff for two Premiers, he has held numerous leadership roles in Newfoundland. He is especially known for his dedication to his community, notably his involvement with the Gower Youth Band, a non-denominational outreach program. Founder and Musical Director, he has been responsible for the training and guidance of hundreds of young musicians for nearly 30 years. A recipient of many national professional awards, he is currently President of Bonnell Public Relations.
