Dominique Rankin, or Grandfather T8aminik, is one of the last guardians of his ancestors’ is one of the last guardians of his ancestors’ nomadic way of life. For over 40 years, he has worked to preserve Anicinape culture and to raise public awareness of Indigenous realities. As a spiritual leader and medicine man, he has strongly advocated for peace as a path to forgiveness and reconciliation. As a speaker and educator, he has dedicated his life to bringing people together by overcoming barriers linked to origins, languages or belief systems.
