- Awarded on: December 19, 1983
- Invested on: April 11, 1984
Besides being one of our leading poets, with fourteen volumes of verse to his name, Louis Dudek has taught English and comparative literature at McGill for nearly thirty years. His essays and reviews, critical but encouraging, have contributed much to the development of our modern poetry. He has also worked with small presses, and helped to found literary magazines which have published the work of young poets.
