A highly successful consulting engineer, Henry Wakabayashi has devoted 50 years to infrastructure improvements throughout British Columbia and beyond. Founder of Pacific Liaicon Ltd., he has helmed many major projects such as the Vancouver Sky Train, the expansion of the Vancouver International Airport and the Metro Vancouver drinking water treatment program. More recently, he has been involved with the expansion of the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, and has provided senior advisory services to the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He is also active within British Columbia's Japanese community, fostering Canadian-Japanese cultural exchange through the Momiji Garden project and the Nikkei Heritage Centre.
