    One of the founders and a past-president of the Women's Association for Education and Social Action, she has done much to improve the status of women, particularly in education. Member of the Higher Education Commission and president of the Commission on College Education (CEGEP) of the Québec Senior Council of Education, she is also a member of Québec's Advisory Council on the Status of Women.
