Born and bred in Sudbury, this psychiatrist, former Chief of Staff at the Sudbury Algoma Hospital and now Professor at the University of Western Ontario has addressed the issues of mental health services for lower income and minority groups in Canada, particularly Canadian Natives. He is the author of two landmark papers on the suicide incidence on a native reserve and he is much concerned in various organizations providing help for alcoholics.
