As an accomplished athlete and a splendid educator, he has always distinguished himself as a man of character. Throughout his multi-faceted career, he has left an indelible mark on every organization he has touched. As Head Football Coach at Saint Mary's University, he instilled the ethics of good sportsmanship and the importance of academic excellence in his players. In addition, in his current position as Athletic Director, he has transformed the department into a success story. He has also worked for the larger community, notably as Deputy Mayor, and has been involved with the Halifax Harbour Solutions project.
