Jan Zwicky has enriched our world with original, challenging and powerful books, and has inspired readers all around the world with her marriage of philosophy and poetry. A teacher of legendary devotion at a number of North American universities, she is also known as an uncommonly generous editor. She worked for Brick Books for many years, co-founded the Oskana Poetry and Poetics series, and has generally helped cultivate Canadian literature and thought. She is also active in the areas of environmental justice and human rights.
